As you know, our 3rd Annual Gala Fundraiser is tomorrow evening at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood.
But we know we have a lot of friends and supporters out there, who weren’t able to attend the event tomorrow night. And we wanted a way for them to be able to participate in the fun.
So, we have one raffle item that the sponsor generously donated two of – one that we could raffle on site, and one that we could host online. It’s a package from Skin Deep Laser Medspa, and we’re throwing in a signed photo and a signed poster of the event as well. You can order as many raffle tickets as you like using the form below – single tickets are $2/each, or a pack of 6 tickets is only $10. Orders for these raffle tickets must be placed by 9PM PST (we’ve extended it because of the selling issues) – the drawing will be done during the event in Hollywood tomorrow night. We will ship the package to the winner.
The raffle was cancelled and not conducted. We have learned that it is illegal in CA to run a raffle online. We apologize for any confusion this caused.
We got a chance this week to sit down with the fabulous Mary Beth Evans (who is celebrating 30 years on Days Of Our Lives – which still seems too unbelievable that it’s been that long!) to talk about the importance of kids and the performing arts.
Mary Beth is a fantastic supporter of at-risk kids, the arts, and wonderfully for us – One World Stage & Screen. We’ve been lucky to work with Mary Beth several times over the years, and we’re thrilled that she’s coming on board to join us for our Gala Fundraiser for OWSS, which we’re just starting to plan. More details to come – but we’re working on putting together a show for Mary Beth and her ‘Days’ co-star, Stephen Nichols, to perform in – hopefully sometime in November of this year.
Check out the video of our conversation below – and if you’d like to read more about all of this, see Mary Beth’s awesome blog post – Enriching Lives Through The Performing Arts.
We have a day for giving thanks. Then there’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
Be part of #GivingTuesday on December 1st and help set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most money raised online for charity in 24 hours. PayPal will add 1% to your donation.
Go to our Donation Page to make your contribution today!
Remember to do all of your Cyber Monday online shopping at smile.amazon.com!
Just bookmark and go to http://smile.amazon.com/ch/46-3330211 every time you plan to shop at Amazon, and they’ll donate 0.5% of the purchase price to One World Stage & Screen. It’s that easy!
And thank you for remembering us with your generosity this holiday season!
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are two of the busiest shopping days of the year. This is a great opportunity to support One World Stage & Screen – by going to smile.amazon.com to do all of your Amazon.com shopping.
When you shop at AmazonSmile using the link below, Amazon donates 0.5% of the purchase price to OWSS. Bookmark http://smile.amazon.com/ch/46-3330211 and support us every time you shop this holiday season.
Best of all it’s easy to do and won’t cost you a thing – and it’s the the same great products and prices you’re used to finding at the regular Amazon site (in fact you can’t really even tell the difference!).
Please join us on Saturday, December 5th at 8PM for a special benefit for One World Stage & Screen (OWSS), the newly formed 501c3 organization led by John Coppola & Michael Sonntag.
The event is a one-night only performance of the show currently running at Studio C Artists – it’s a trio of fun holiday plays called FA LA LA LA: A Threesome Of Holiday Fun! All of the proceeds from the ticket sales that night will go to OWSS. Additional donations will also be collected that evening at the performance.
As always, if you can’t make this one opportunity, please remember to keep OWSS in mind for your charitable holiday giving. You can contribute anytime on our DONATE page online.
Tickets for the show can be purchased at holidayshow.studiocartists.com – and additional details about the production are available there as well.
So, make your calendars – and be sure to join in the holiday celebration for a good cause!
Thanks to everyone who came out for the One World Stage & Screen – Summer Garden Party & Fundraiser this past weekend. It was a smashing success!! Everyone seemed to have a great time, and we collected some much needed donations for some programs we’re planning for this Fall.
We’d like to send a shout-out to the various vendors who sponsored this great party: Tender Grill Gourmet Brazilian BBQ for the FANTASTICALLY SCRUMPTIOUS food; Hillcrest Party Rentals; Moe’s Flowers; the Wellington Square Farmers Market; and Steve Davis and the Wellington Square Jazz Ensemble for the terrific music! Also, to our volunteers without whom we would not have been able to put on this event.
If you didn’t get a chance to come to the party, but you’d still like to help – there are two things you can still do:
- It’s not too late to make a donation. You can use the pledge card included in our Support Letter Package or make a simple donation online via our website at owss.net/donate. To read more about our Summer Pledge Drive, see our previous post.
- If you’re an Amazon.com shopper – there’s a really easy way to help us out, and it doesn’t even cost you a thing! Every time your shop at Amazon.com, OWSS will receive a small donation (prices are the same as regular Amazon, and you don’t pay anything additional). Go to http://smile.amazon.com/ch/46-3330211 to get started!
And we’re already in the midst of planning our big 2015 Gala Fundraiser for the end of this year. There’ll be loads of food and drink, performances, and even a silent auction/raffle. More details to come, so mark your calendars – Sunday, November 15th from 3-6PM.
