Mission

The mission of ONE WORLD STAGE & SCREEN is to make high quality training accessible to professional-grade, young actors who lack the financial resources to access the education and mentorship necessary to cultivate their craft. We believe that the composition of the acting field should not be dictated by financial means. Our goal is to level the playing field and create opportunities for talented youth to gain access to the support and training they need to have the careers they deserve.  At One World Stage & Screen we specialize in youth ages 11 – 21, who primarily come from underserved areas in Los Angeles with special outreach to foster and LGBT communities.

MISSION: One World Stage & Screen’s mission is “to help at-risk individuals re-direct and change their lives through the performing arts.”

PURPOSE:  More specifically, the purposes of One World Stage & Screen are to:

  • Through performing arts, to educate, train, guide, and mentor at-risk children, youth, and adults on the importance of knowing and understanding the fundamental crux of their archetypal makeup;
  • To assist at-risk children, youth, and adults in developing, owning, and embracing their personalities so they can offer their (true /authentic) selves through performing arts, then applicable in any environment; and,
  • To provide at-risk and high-risk teens and adults with vital knowledge, training, resources, and referrals that helps to identify and build sound careers and apply those changes to become self-sufficient contributors to society.
