They are asking individuals across the country to share their personal reasons for giving, and then share those stories with their communities.

How we’re supporting #GivingTuesday

Here’s a little more on what we’re doing this #GivingTuesday and how you can help in other ways.

We’ve also added a simple “DONATE” button to our main Facebook Page – making it easier for anyone who stops by to donate on the fly.  Also, if you’re looking for a way to donate your time rather than via your wallet – give us a shout at – we’re looking for volunteers who are eager to help us in our mission to provide high quality training and mentorship to professional-grade, young actors who lack the financial resources.  We work with underserved youth and young adults who have the acting talent to beat the odds, but lack the means to get the professional training they need.

Thank you for your support of OWSS. We are really excited about #GivingTuesday, and hope you will participate in all our year-end activities!

Thank You To All Who Made Our 3rd Annual Gala Fundraiser A Smashing Success!

We just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who made our 3rd Annual Gala Fundraiser such a great event.  We had a fantastic time and we raised some serious cash to run programs next year for underserved youth actors!

We especially want to say thank you to our two stars from “Days of our Lives” – Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols – who worked tirelessly and gave not only of their time, but their tremendous talent, to bring us such a special performance, in the staged reading of “Annapurna”.  They both put in countless hours of rehearsal, and really poured their hearts into both roles.  We at One World Stage & Screen cannot possibly express how proud we are to have them representing our organization – and how much we appreciate EVERYTHING they both have done for us in this past year.  The successful funding of our organization is largely due to their efforts.

We also wanted to thank our amazing volunteers, for all of their hard work.  We heard a lot of praise from guests at the event, on how wonderful our people were.  We feel very blessed to have such great supporters around us.

Thanks to to all of the event sponsors of the evening – who helped make this party such a smashingly good time!  The dessert and cocktail reception was a hit!

And lastly, this event would not have been so great without the backing of all those who were able to join us for the Gala!  We are truly appreciative of all of your generosity and the outpouring of support you showed our charity – and all of the kind words so many of you had to say to us at the after-party.  We want each of you to know how much each of your contributions will make – in changing the lives of these young performers.

One quick aside – we mentioned t-shirts at the event, and several of you have purchased them already.  We just wanted to let you know that they are only going to be on sale for 2 more days… so if you want to get yours to commemorate the benefit and the staged reading of “Annapurna”, be sure to purchase by this Sunday, 11/20.  Just go to to select your size and color.

From all of us at One World Stage & Screen – THANK YOU!!

OWSS Gala Fundraiser – At Home Raffle Item

As you know, our 3rd Annual Gala Fundraiser is tomorrow evening at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood.

But we know we have a lot of friends and supporters out there, who weren’t able to attend the event tomorrow night.  And we wanted a way for them to be able to participate in the fun.

So, we have one raffle item that the sponsor generously donated two of – one that we could raffle on site, and one that we could host online.  It’s a package from Skin Deep Laser Medspa, and we’re throwing in a signed photo and a signed poster of the event as well.  You can order as many raffle tickets as you like using the form below – single tickets are $2/each, or a pack of 6 tickets is only $10.  Orders for these raffle tickets must be placed by 9PM PST (we’ve extended it because of the selling issues) – the drawing will be done during the event in Hollywood tomorrow night.  We will ship the package to the winner.

The raffle was cancelled and not conducted.  We have learned that it is illegal in CA to run a raffle online.  We apologize for any confusion this caused.

Our Gala Fundraiser Is This Weekend – Hope You Can Join Us!

Our 3rd Annual Gala Fundraiser is really shaping up to be a fun one!  We hope all of you can join us on Sunday evening at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood!

One of the things that we think will make the evening so special is thanks to our fantastic list of sponsors for our dessert and cocktail reception, which follows the performance by ‘Days of our Lives’ stars Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols.  Whether it’s fantastic desserts from the Cheesecake Factory, “Patch” donuts from Krispy Kreme, ice cream from Salt & Straw, tequila cocktails from Dulce Vida, Irish whiskey from Tullamore Dew, a wine tasting from Lucky Dogg, beer from Kona Brewing Co., or Starbucks to keep you awake – we’ve got you covered.  There will be additional treats as well – including Mary Beth Evan’s very own special chocolate chip cookies (trust me – these are to KILL for!).

General Admission seats are still available – tickets (which include the performance and the reception) are only $75.  Just go to to purchase online.
